It is possible to complete a year or a semester in most schools worldwide, many also offer language support if required. Whilst most students will choose to stay in a host family, some private schools offer boarding facilities which might be a preferred option.
The High School curriculum in Australia is justly admired worldwide for the rigour of its academic content and the searching nature of its formal examinations. The curriculum and examinations are administered by each State. Final results are made up of both examination and assessment to determine a student's university entrance ranking, which is used by Australian universities to select students for undergraduate places.
